How PCAIT Was Born
The I.T. industry, particularly the channel, has a vast pool of managerial, technical and entrepreneurial skills and most of its people are educated, ambitious, and highly successful in each of her or his own domain.
Feeling a dire need to crystallize the immense human and material resources of the IT Industry, particularly the Channel for common National and Global benefit, a group of 15 persons heading various organizations came forward in May 2004, to give birth to PROGRESSIVE CHANNELS ASSOCIATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (PCAIT) which was registered on March 9, 2005 as a Society.

What CII is to Industry,
What NASSCOM is to the Software Industry,
PCAIT’s main motto is
“WORK TOGETHER, BUILD TOGETHER, PROGRESS TOGETHER”

- The focus is on Growth and integration with Global IT scenario.
- Membership is only by invitation of like-minded organizations.
- The decisions of the Executive Council, which is the supreme authority, are by consensus.
- All activities are focused through specific committees, as far as possible, led by specialists.
- PCAIT will never function like a conventional IT association but is well-poised towards becoming a magnificent and reckoning force in the coming years.
